Negative experience: We had a very bad experience with Engel & Volkers Sotogrande. E&V introduced to us in 2023 a tenant for our house in San Roque. They said that this person was a very reliable, honest and « wealthy » person. On their advice we signed a 11 months contract. Very soon after, it appeared that the tenant is a professional « cuckoo » who never paid any rental and used the house for B&B. We had to involve the Court in order to expell him. The representative of E&V knew this tenant from before and did not warn us. At the contrary she put a lot of pressure on us in order to sign. After we discovered the reality E&V did not help us and did not take its responsibilities. They just paid us back half of their commission while this whole affair will cost us more than 70,000 €. This is a shame for E&V !

Negative experience: We have had an awful experience buying a house through this office. We paid a 1% reservation to take the property off the market and then found out the vendors had viewings after we had paid the deposit. We have asked for our deposit back as the vendors have not acted in good faith and E&V will not refund stating that the 1% goes to the seller as we pull out of the house sale. We are still trying to get our deposit back. Be very careful leaving deposits.
