Positive experience: The legal service was very good, but the scheduling was not so great. I had an appointment set, and three days later they called me to change the time. I replied no problem, the day arrives and by email they confirm a different time from the two previously confirmed.

I have personally spent almost a year looking for housing in Olot, and luckily, Nuri and Alicia have helped me throughout these months. I used to knock on their door day in and day out, super annoying; Nuri always had kind words for me and was very empathetic towards my personal situation. This is the second home I have accessed thanks to them (I spent 6 years in the first one, and I have currently been in the second for two months). The rental situation is very complicated, and many landlords have RACIST REQUIREMENTS AND PREJUDICES, which put black people like me in difficult situations. Fortunately, we can always find just people who help and don’t see skin color. For anyone looking for housing in the Olot area, know that it is possible; you need to meet the economic requirements, and many landlords may say no, but there are also those who will open their doors to you. To finish, it is very important to note that THE PERSON ASSISTING YOU DOES NOT MAKE THE DECISION TO RENT YOU THE APARTMENT OR NOT, IT IS THE LANDLORD. It is important to highlight that as a society, we have a pending struggle, which is to combat these unfair situations with people who are not Western, because my skin color does not show who I am. Society and institutions (City Halls, APIs, and of course, the STATE must provide tools and spaces for this) we must combat it.
