Negative experience: We rented our villa through them. At the time of settling the accounts for the year, I point out that they have retained 10% in extra fees. They acknowledge it, but the agency owner refuses to refund me the 800 euros and denies any contact as well as the registered letter from my lawyer. Moreover, we learned that he asked one of our tenants for 500 euros for the rental contract, which is illegal and totally prohibited since they are paid through our intermediary. Dishonest, to be avoided. In their response, they speak of rental disputes. There are none... They receive 8000 euros and withhold 40% instead of the 30% contracted. They acknowledge their error but refuse to reimburse the 800 euros overcharged. It's true that one cannot meet the expectations of the scammer and the scammed.

Fantastic experience: We brought our villa in Benissa 8 years ago through Hamiltons & so they were the obvious choice to sell it for us once we made the really difficult decision to sell. Making the decision to sell was the hardest part of the process. Once we made contact with Nick the support & service we received from the Moraira team was superb. We had a steady stream of viewings and, unlike horror stories we heard from others about other agencies, we could tell every viewing was genuine & that the team were determined to do their best for us. The service we had was exemplary, they helped us refine what we were looking for and were very responsive whenever we called even taking us to viewings out of normal hours. The internal communication within the branch was excellent so if our primary point of contact was unavailable whoever we talked to was able to help or ensure we got a speedy response. They treat both buyers and sellers as customers trying to ensure that buyers get the property that is right for them and that the seller gets the sale they want. They do more than just sell, they build relationships and trust. Fantastic experience: I'd recommend Hamilton's to anyone wanting to sell their home/apartment. I personally went with Hamilton's after trying a couple of other local agents and not being overly happy with their efforts. I was impressed with how they worked and found them far better and driving viewings and keeping me updated on their feedback and progress. My only personal learning I'd share is that I didn't add on the tax to the agent fee % so my only advice to others is remember its sale % then tax added on so the sale costs are higher than expected.

She was very patient whilst we were looking for somewhere, fitting in with our erratic timetable (we usually only had a couple of days to fit in viewings) but without being pushy (unlike some agents who spammed with house details without really listening to us). I’m so pleased that she was the one who found us our ideal villa in the end. She has been so helpful since finding it, answering all our questions and she even came to the notary’s office when we signed the papers to make sure we were happy with everything. No tienen palabra, cuando ya está todo claro y todos los papeles necesarios en el banco y se está llevando a cabo el trámite, desaparecen y les venden la casa a otros. Espero y deseo que sus trabajadores no sean igual de inhumanos fuera del ámbito laboral, porque sinceramente dejan mucho que desear. Doy una estrella porque no se puede calificar con menos ni puntuar en negativo. Enhorabuena a aquellos a los que le habéis vendido la casa y en especial a la persona que se la ha vendido. Al final del dia lo recibi y resulta que ya esta alquilado, poca profesionalidad y falta de respeto para un cliente que solo busca donde vivir, encima me quejo s ella y su respuesta es ya sabes como funciona aqui rl mercado. Painful experience with jackie, we were looking for an apartment to rent and contacted us with this agency, we found an apartment that we liked and went to visit it, during the visit jackie was not there (she was busy) and a colleague of hers showed us the apartment but did not give us the.information because I didn't know it. When we see.the.floor and we agree, we contact.our advisor if you can call this lady that, and she tells us that she sent us an email with the information, after hours I contacted her again because there was no trace of the email. At the end of the day I received it and it turns out that it is already rented, little professionalism and lack of respect for a client who is only looking for a place to live, on top of that I complain to her and her response is you know how the market works here. Positive experience: They ask 1,5 month rent in advance as deposit and references of good behaviour, but let you wait 7 weeks for the refund of your deposit, despite our three emails in which we asked for a follow-up.

Fantastic experience: Hamilton's of London started selling our house in September and by the end of October we had accepted an offer. We then encountered some difficulties due to the would be purchaser changing his mind. However, thanks to Frank Liesenborgs dedication and persistence (who no longer works for Hamiltons) he found serious buyers and we completed the sale on March 9th. He even came to the Notaries to ensure the completion went through smoothly.
