Negative experience: WARNING! This company is not what it seems! It promises a lot, appears to be helpful, but when legitimate complaints arise, they hide and try to downplay the problem to their advantage: They remodeled our house in Torrox, and among other complaints, the carpentry has been a disaster! They had to change doors and windows because they didn't fit and were not of the agreed style, and secondly, the bathroom sliding door in the bedroom doesn't stay closed, it opens by itself and remains open. The windows don't close properly, letting in light, wind, dust, and street noise. After complaining and sending the images attached here, they refuse to take responsibility for this problem caused by the shoddy work. I repeat: WARNING this company is not recommended!!

Positive experience: I think Cómpeta Properties is more than just a mere real estate agency that only tries to sell houses. As a foreigner, I was informed in a very good way, so I could avoid bad decisions when buying the house. Hiring a local lawyer is an example of something you shouldn't overlook; it's something I didn't know. Now that the entire buying and selling process is behind us, they still assist me efficiently and sharply if I have more questions (and I do). They even keep a copy of my keys at the office for when I need them. They always respond immediately. The guys at the Torrox office are also very cultured and behave politely. However, not everything ended a hundred percent well. The budget for work on the house turned out to be much more expensive than a previous estimate. Secondly, when I requested a second, cheaper estimate for a more modest job, I didn't even receive a response. That is not the fault of the guys at the office but of the people in the construction department. So my experience is mixed but generally speaking, my judgment is quite positive. They have patience, give you personal attention, and they have brains. I must say that I recommend this agency to anyone considering buying a house on the Costa del Sol.

Negative experience: Accomplices of a crime, in this case involving a worker from your cleaning company, who cleverly takes advantage of the fact that my parking space is free for long periods of time. She offers access and control of the parking for the Duna Beach II development, where she performs cleaning tasks, to people renting properties without parking, telling them that it is her property, which she also uses daily to park her car and load and unload cleaning products and supplies. When I brought this up with the managers of this company, they tried to downplay its importance again and again, and as this behavior is unacceptable, when I attempted to continue defending what happened, he calls me aggressive, merely for not accepting his continuous responses to convince me of his idea.

Fantastic experience: For Germans who are considering buying a property: Competa Properties comes highly recommended by us. We were personally attended by Katy de Csanady. She always responded promptly via email/WhatsApp or by phone. Competa gave us a sense of security when buying. I think that is the most important thing when purchasing a property from abroad, especially when you don’t speak Spanish. Oh, and Katy speaks German!

Negative experience: These slavers hire Moroccan workers to make them work on Saturdays and Sundays, and not only do they not respect the construction agreement, but they also do not respect the rest of the neighbors.

Fantastic experience: Did you know that Competa Properties in Torrox Pueblo has changed its location from La Plaza de Constitucion to Paseo de Las Moreiras, 1? It is just 50 (ish) metres away, at the entrance to the square. My husband and I moved nearly 3 years ago to the Pueblo from Mijas Costa, the best decision we have ever made. Our apartment was presented in an immaculate condition, which was overseen by Laura, who later went on Maternity Leave. The office staff have always been very helpful in many ways. Antonio is a hard working young man, who goes out of his way to make our lives comfortable. He arranges occasional repairs in our apartment block, which are carried out within a short time. The other members of staff, Harry and Katy, are also friendly and seem happy in their work. Overall, each doing a professional job. For anyone looking for a property to purchase or rent in the area of Torrox, you can’t go wrong with Competa Properties. Antonio and staff will do their utmost to find you the best property to suit your requirements.

Fantastic experience: We bought a rather dilapidated house in Torrox a couple of years ago with Competa Properties. They were excellent in terms of the help and support we received. In terms of the refurbishment we required we used their Company to do the work. Again, it could not have been better and the quality of workmanship was second to none. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and everything we have had from Competa has been better than expected, in terms of service and support. Antonio in the Torrox Office is brilliant, fluent in English and really supportive and helpful. If I could give them six stars I would.

Fantastic experience: We were customers of Competa Properties for many years. Initially they looked after the maintenance of the house, and prepared/ cleaned it for guests who rented it for holidays. Competa Properties looked after the guests and promptly addressed any problems to the satisfaction of all. Communication was always excellent. When we decided to sell the property we had no hesitation in asking Cele Fernandez and his team, principally at the Torrox office led by Antonio, to handle this for us. They approached this professionally at all times. The team expedited the sale and the legalities expertly and in a drama-free manner.

Negative experience: I rented the app in second floor of the office for a month. They ripped me of for using the stair (must be painted) a mark outside of the door( must also be painted) stains of cofy on a table. I frying pa n ti 150 eiuro that could not stand heat, and so on. The office alos wanted med to pay cash ... This is a total rip off. Do youre self a favor and sta away!
